Short version: Pars Skin has no account, no ads, no analytics and no developer server. Your photos, sunscreen log, products and notes stay on your device. The developer does not collect or receive any of your data.
What the app stores on your device
- Sunscreen applications, reminders and your weekly goal.
- Products you add, their label photos, dates, ingredients and notes.
- Skin check-in photos, your own ratings, notes and follow-up areas.
- Your chosen city and a cached weather forecast.
- Settings, including ingredients you react to and your skin type.
This data is stored only in the app on your device. It is not synced to iCloud by the app. Photo copies are excluded from device backups, so they can be lost if you delete the app or lose the device. Other app data can be included in your normal iPhone or iPad backup.
Services the app uses
- Apple Weather (WeatherKit) receives the location of the city you choose to return UV and weather. If you allow current location, an approximate location is used. There is no background location tracking.
- Apple Maps search processes the city name you type.
- Open Beauty Facts receives only a product barcode number, and only when you tap "Look up online". No photo, account or personal information is sent.
- Apple Health (optional, off by default). If you turn it on, the app reads Time in Daylight and can save UV Exposure from an outdoor plan. Health data stays in Apple Health and is never sent to the developer or used for advertising.
- Apple Intelligence (where available) writes tips and summaries on your device from your own records. Nothing is sent to the developer.
- App Store handles Pars Skin Pro purchases. The developer does not receive your payment details.
Apple and Open Beauty Facts process requests under their own privacy policies.
Camera, photos, Face ID and Touch ID
The camera opens only when you tap to take a photo. Photo import uses the system picker, so the app sees only the photos you choose. Location and other metadata are removed from saved copies. Face ID or Touch ID (on iPhone Duo) is used only to unlock the optional photo lock, and the app never receives your face or fingerprint data.
Notifications, widget and Apple Watch
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. The widget and the Apple Watch app show a small summary (city name, UV and reminder times) taken from your device. No photos or notes are shown in them.
Deleting your data
Use Settings › Delete all data in the app, or delete the app. Older device backups and files you shared yourself, such as a PDF report, are outside the app's control.
Children
Pars Skin is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Health information
Pars Skin gives general sun-care information for awareness. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. For any skin concern, see a dermatologist.
